The Breaking Process

Did you ever notice that sometimes in order to build your faith, God allows you to be broken? The past few months have been an intense breaking time for me. Things that I thought I could count on, I couldn't. People that should have supported me, didn't. All of the efforts that relied on my strength, my intuition, my talentedness were thwarted. I prayed, I sought God, and I realized that He wanted me to draw my strength and my reliance from Him alone. Unfortunately, that meant stripping away all of the other things that get in the way.

The Bible says that in this world we will have trouble. I think sometimes we forget that and somehow we think that if we are doing what God has intended for us, it should be easier than it is. I would submit that sometimes it is hard because we are doing what God wants. We are a threat to Satan. In these times where we are thwarted, hurt and broken, cling to God and depend on Him.
